Does it irritate you when parents run around saying "I love my kids!"?

I'm not knocking them for loving their kids it's just that, its such a redundant statement and to think that you have to reinforce it within yourself by saying it every 4 minutes to everyone you know and people you don't is pretentious to me... Why do some people feel the need to up the ante with these verbal forms of emotion? We know we love each other, you don't need to say it all the time, and the person who does makes the people who don't feel inadequate so can we all just shut up about loving our kids?
