Is there rly someone out there for everyone or is it a crock?

i'm 24 and most of my friends have been in serious relationships for a year or so at some point in their lives. listening to them talk, they're amazed by how great looking and how perfect their personality is, and how "she's the one". i've met really attractive girls and ones with great personalities but have never met "the one". my friend met the girl he dated for a few years at school, and it was perfect: he really liked everything about her, and it turned out she felt the exact same way.
