VFL v AFL - Is there a degree of mediocaty creeping into player quality, skills & performance ?

Money would be the main reason for this. Would Ablett have left Geelong if not for the big br he was offered to go to the Gold Coast. AFL loyalty went right out the door when the AFL decided to spend squillions on the Gold Coast and GWS. Clubs draft places have been cut back tremendously, so no loyalty to existing clubs and what about the loyalty thye AFL has shown to Tie and the ACT. The whole thing is about money and how to get more of it.
