Is the cult of superiority unethical or unchristian?

I'm not going to say it's unethical or unchristian - I just think it's plain unhealthy for both neighbors. Both are worried about competing and being superior. Since there will absolutely, always be SOMEONE who does more, knows more, has more, is more attractive, etc., than you, then the need to be and feel superior is a false need, one based on ego attachment, fear and narcissism. Everyone has this disease called ego and it's what both neighbors in this case would need to escape in order to find contentment.
